Configuring Menus on ecomz Ecomz Technical Support November 12, 2020 12:06 Updated Link your pages and add menus and sub-menus to your online store to create an easy-to-explore website with the help of ecomz advanced navigation system. Configuring Menus ■ Navigation menu Providing a user-friendly shopping experience for your customers is essential and it can only be achieved by creating an easy-to-explore website in which the pages are properly categorized and interlinked. The navigation menu is located in the header and footer of a page. ■ Create a menu To create a menu, follow these steps: Navigate to your Admin Menu > My Store (1)> Navigation (2) Click on add new menu (3) (you can also create a sub-menu by expanding an existing menu). Enter the name (4) of the menu. Choose the correct link type (5). Click on Save. Note: Make sure you create all of your required pages by going to My store > pages before moving on to the linking process. Note: Our navigation system supports up to 3 menu levels (the main menu and 2 levels of sub-menus) You can always delete a menu but keep in mind that if you choose to do so, you will be irreversibly removing this menu from here and from your online store. ■ Link types This section allows assigning a link to your newly created menu. You need to choose the exact destination of your menu if you select one of the following options: Collection: specify the previously created collection page. Product: specify the product page. Page: choose one of the previously created pages. Blog post: specify the previously created blog post. Web address: specify the URL. Brand: specify the previously added brand. Department: specify the previously chosen product department. Category/subcategory: specify which previously created category/subcategory. ■ Add the menu to your online store Once you create a menu, you can add it to the header and footer of your online store by following these steps, as shown in the images below: Navigate to Admin Menu > My Store (1)> Themes (2) Click on customize theme (3) Click on menu in the theme editor on the right (4) Click on add menu section.
