Creating a Coupon on Ecomz

After activating the "Coupons" feature, you can now create coupons to increase your sales and boost your revenue on Ecomz.

■ What is a coupon?

Coupons are the oldest and most successful concept in the business. They simply are vouchers that can be redeemed by the holder for a discount on particular or several items. Ecomz developed coupons and implemented them, giving you the chance to offer those vouchers in the most efficient way to promote your products.

Ecomz offers the coupon feature as an integrated app that can be activated throughout its app store.

Note:

Once you create a coupon and apply it at your checkout the sale will appear on your page as if it's appearing for a client who applied it. Don't worry !! :)

Only you can see that because the system will identify your IP address.
This is not a bug, the discount will not appear for customers unless they apply the coupon, so don't panic or pause your store !! :D

■ Create a coupon

To create a coupon:

Go to the Admin Menu > Sales boosters (1) > Coupons (2)
Once on the page, click on "Add Coupon" (3) in the top right corner.

You will be redirected to a new page, where you can configure and setup your coupons the way you see fit.

This page is divided into 3 sections:

Coupon setup
Coupon configuration
Appearance

■ Coupon setup

In this section, you are required to fill in the coupon name, get a coupon code (by clicking "generate a code" next to coupon code), select the usage limit, set the discount (amount in USD + whether the discount is by amount or percentage) and the coupon type (on applicable items, once per order or on shipping cost).

Applicable Items: The coupon will be applied to selected items that you choose based on the filter options or added manually.
If you want to apply more than one condition, press on add another condition set. Do not add conditions next to each other :)
Once Per Order: The coupon will be applied to the whole order once the check out is reached.
Shipping Cost: The coupon will be applied directly to the shipping cost of the order.

■ Coupon configuration

In this section, you should first choose on what group of customers this coupon is to be applied (under "apply on customer in group"):

All: applicable to everyone.
Accepts marketing: applicable to subscribers to your newsletter.
Prospects: applicable to the newly signed up customers with "zero" orders.
Regular customers: applicable to customers who completed at least 2 successful purchases.

You should also set the minimum order amount, minimum margin amount, minimum margin percentage and choose the customer zone (all zones or a specific zone to be selected).

■ Appearance

Under this section, you should write the terms of the coupon you're creating, as well as its title and a brief description to it. In addition, you get to choose whether you use an image (banner) or a solid color as a background.

Once you have filled all the required information, finalize this process by clicking Save.
