Ecomz Technical Support November 10, 2020 08:42 Updated Learn about MailChimp and how to activate it. ecomz has implemented one of the best marketing automation platforms to its app store to help merchants reach out in bulk to their customers and potential customers in order to boost their sales. ■ What is MailChimp? MailChimp is a marketing automation platform and an email marketing service. Whether it’s a marketing email or an update, contacting all of your customers can be difficult and time-consuming. MailChimp makes this process easier by giving you the option to create and manage mailing lists in order to send these emails in bulk. ■ Before activating MailChimp Before activating MailChimp on your store, you should create an account on their official website. Go to www.mailchimp.com and create your account. Once you're done, click on your account name on the top right corner of the current page, and choose "account". You'll be redirected to a new page where you are to select "extra" from the menu > API keys. Scroll down and copy your API key for later use. ■ Activate MailChimp After activating the "Mailchimp" Feature on ecomz. Navigate to the Admin Menu (on the left) > App Store. Locate "MailChimp" under "active features" and click on settings. You'll be asked to insert your API key for activation, the one you copied before. Enter your API key and click Save. ■ Create mailing lists Once activated, MailChimp becomes visible on your Admin Menu. So in order to set it up go to Admin Menu (on the left) and click on MailChimp. You will be redirected to a new page where you can add your mailing list and configure all the settings by clicking "create mailing list" (1) in the top right corner. Note: If you haven't created a mailing list, another button will be displayed in the middle of the page (create mailing list (2)). Once you click on "create mailing list" you will be directed to a new page (see image below). Fill in the required information and finalize the process by clicking Save.
