Enabling Credit Notes on Ecomz Ecomz Technical Support September 22, 2021 13:20 Updated "Credit Notes" is a feature, offered by Ecomz, that can be found in the App Store. By activating it for 5.00 USD/Month, you can offer store credit to your customers instead of losing a sale. Clients can use these credits to purchase new items instead of simply asking for a refund. Note: This feature applies to registered customers only Enabling Credit Notes ■ How to activate it: Go to the Admin Menu (on the left)> App Store. Choose "Credit Notes" and press on Activate. Press on Pay Now. Fill out the details and press Verify card. ■ How to refund customers with credit notes: After cancelling an order, you'll have the option to refund your customers with credit notes! Note: Upcoming payments must be set as paid before refunding as credit notes. Go to the order you wish to cancel then click on Cancel order under the What's next section Pick any reason for cancelling then choose to refund as credit notes ■ How to add or remove customers' credit notes: You may choose to provide a customer with credit notes even if they don't have an order! Go to Customers > All Customers then select a certain customer. On the left menu, click on Credit notes To cancel your customer's credits, click on Cancel credits To add credits for your customer, click on Add credits Choose the Amount you wish to add as well as the Reason (optional) then click Save ■ How customers view their Credit Notes balance: For the client to view the available credit notes: Click on Account icon. Click on View Orders. Click on Credit Notes. The available credit notes will appear under Credit Note. ■ How can customers use their available credit notes: Add a product or go to the cart to complete a purchase, press on proceed to checkout. Click on proceed to payment details. Press on Apply next to the credit notes. Notice that the value of the credit notes is deducted from your payment amount.
